Minny is my second team so I pay some attention to them. While I really like Haula keeping the dmen is a huge win.
Also you officially own the nicest jerseys in the league. |

Think of it like a conditional trade. They made a trade that if they signed Haula, they would also receive a prospect (reportedly.) But yes, if they sign Haula, they can't select someone else from MN in the draft as well. |

Anyone else love the Wilds new jerseys as much as I do? Finally moving on from red jerseys that almost 1/3rd the league has. P |

Most likely Tuch which is convenient for MIN because he is a bust. |

Russo is reporting the prospect is Tuch.

Really hope Fletch has something planned out to move a Dman for nice center because I think that needs to happen for the expansion draft not to be bust. - bmgarvert

I think what people are failing to realize is that teams are really trading for their own player.
I.e. if Minnesota was trading Dumba to Vegas, what would you want in return?
Mcphee isn't stupid. This is what Minnesota will have to give up the opposite way to keep him.
Even if you don't lose the player, your team is losing equivalent value one way or another.
This goes for every other team, and every other deal being made to protect players.

What the conditions on the draft pick are is what is huge. If it's MN's 2018 first unless Vegas makes playoffs, that plus Tuch is pretty costly. If it's MN's 2018 7th unless Haula plays at least 5 games, pretty good deal for Wild just losing Tuch. Guessing the pick & conditions are somewhere in the middle. |

Wow if that's true that's a great deal for Minny... still don't understand why McPhee would not have selected Dumba and then flipped him for a King's ransom to one of the many D-hungry teams.
Admittedly don't know much about either Minnesota player but I feel like Dumba could have generated a superior return. |

It's Haula, Tuch and another draft pick/prospect.
McPhee: Chuck, you have to send me one player.
Fletcher: Fine, I'll send you three.

Haula and Tuch together have less value than Dumba, so I'm not sure what Vegas was thinking there, but it works for me. Although, I don't know how in the hell Fletcher will be able to resign Granlund and Niederreiter now. Where's the cap space? |

I think like some Wolverine claws would be a cool MN logo to signify "wild" versus the whole pine tree and sunset thing |

Moves, and if that doesnt work there is still the possibility to say goodbye to Pominville. |
